At Cambridge Learning Services, we believe building a solid academic foundation in Math and English is crucial for elementary school students. In addition to Math and English, we offer tutoring in Science and Social Studies to ensure students receive a well-rounded education. This includes basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Students learn the order of operations (BEDMAS) and slowly move into more complex problems, which may include more significant numbers and the use of word problems. Comprehending mathematical word problems is crucial for their success in future math classes.
English is equally as important and foundational as mathematics. Our tutors help students learn the alphabet, spelling, grammar (nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, interjections), and punctuation. Our tutoring service aims to help students better understand these concepts to create short stories, poems, and self-reflection and improve communication skills.
Science and Social Studies are secondary subjects that contribute to the holistic learning of a student. Our tutoring centres offer activities and worksheets that engage students to spark creative thinking. Important topics covered are the history of the Indigenous peoples in Canada and Canadian geography. Students also learn about the world around us through topics like Trees & Forests, Habitats & Communities, Mechanical Systems, Electricity & Magnetism, and introductory Chemistry.

We will create an individual learning plan tailored to your child’s needs that addresses elementary school subjects.
